At Chimuri Beach, guests enjoy the solitude and privacy of an intimate personal retreat directly in front of our solitary black sand beach. Its away from crowds and yet a short, less than 1 mile, walk or bike ride to the village of Puerto Viejo, the Caribbean favorite destination spot. Our new outdoor Yoga gazebo with an enclosed space for massage and holistic healing sessions is our latest addition.
We are very pleased to offer this special personal retreat setting in the old Caribbean way–with some of the best rates anywhere in Costa Rica as it is our sincere believe that a personal retreat time should be possible also in a very affordable way in a simple but beautiful setting.

Sabbatical monthly stays of at least 3 months don’t pay any tax. Special discount rates during low season (June – November) for sabbatical retreats of minim. 3 months $500/$575/$650 per month (extra person +$100).

RESERVATION POLICY
In order to keep our rates as affordable as possible, we request payment in cash. Deposits should be done by payment via MoneyGram (for Costa Rican residents by deposit on our bank account). Please check your closest agency at: www.moneygram.com
Our cancellation policy is to refund 75% of a deposit as long as we can re-rent your time block. This is usually not a problem as long as notice is given at least 30 days in advance. No refunds for late arrivals or early departures!
Required deposits for your reservation
- up to one week the equivalent of 3 nights
- for 8-15 nights the equivalent of one week
- for more than 15 nights $US 400.-
- Rentals of two months require a deposit of the equivalent of one month
- for longer sabbatical stays on agreement
Any balance should be paid upon arrival in cash.
